🥇
Unmatched World-Building — 25+ years of foreshadowing that actually pays off. Oda plants details hundreds of chapters early and resolves them, rewarding long-term readers like nothing else in the genre.

🥈
Best-Selling Proof — It is the best-selling manga in history for a reason: emotional arcs like Nami’s and Robin’s backstories hit harder than any rival shonen.

⭐ Best argument
🥇
Pacing Problem — The anime’s filler and slow arcs make it a brutal entry point. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood tells a tighter, complete story without the 1000+ episode commitment.

🥈
Hunter x Hunter Did It Smarter — Togashi’s power system and the Chimera Ant arc deliver darker, more cerebral storytelling that One Piece’s tone rarely attempts.
